Jacob Thomas Cribbs

Drawing from a diverse journey that began in California, moved through the creative intensity of NYC’s theater and writing scenes, and landed in the therapeutic landscapes of New England, I view therapy as a truly cooperative, creative process. I understand that life is rarely a straight line, having worked as everything from an off-off-Broadway actor and landscaper to a dual-diagnosis clinician, so I am deeply empathetic to those navigating significant life transitions, career shifts, and complex identities.

My practice focuses on helping individuals and couples move through anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, spiritual integration, and religious trauma. Because of my background in Literature and fiction, I naturally lean into Narrative Therapy and Existential frameworks to help you examine and rewrite your own story. I combine this with Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral approaches and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). For those who connect through play, I am a Certified Therapeutic Game Master through Geek Therapeutics, offering neuro-inclusive gaming that turns table-top dynamics into tools for growth.

I am also trained in Level 1 Gottman Method to help couples break persistent relational patterns. Whether we meet online, face-to-face in the office, or take the session outdoors to connect with nature, my goal is to offer a space that is not just clinically effective and social-justice informed, but genuinely human.
